It’s also expected to highlight the unique success stories of Orange County’s growth, including features and periodic updates reflecting the progress of the building’s supporters. Set to open during the 2014-15 academic year, it will enable faculty and students to interact in new ways and will serve as the hub of the vibrant Orange County business community.

The nearly 80,000-square-foot building will boast a number of amenities for students and educators, including a 300-seat auditorium, 20 small-group study rooms, high-tech classrooms, a trading and technology lab, a colloquia room with a breathtaking outdoor terrace, a career resource library, conference and group study facilities, several dining areas and a 4,000-square-foot “grand terrace” overlooking the new courtyard central to the Merage School campus.

With the digital age of academic education beginning to mature, the building will be carefully designed to incorporate leading-edge technology while fostering personal interaction. Every electronically integrated classroom, breakout room and colloquia setting will provide the best of distance- learning advantages worldwide, as well as enhanced in-room collaboration and cognitive skill building.

The new building will be a showcase of Orange County’s premier business community and the partnerships launched between The Merage School and the entrepreneurs, executives and philanthropists who have supported its efforts, including The Beall Family Foundation, Charles Schwab & Co. Inc., Ranney and Priscilla Draper, Experian, Ed Fuller, the Paul & Elisabeth Merage Family Foundation, PAAMCO and Wells Fargo.

Much of the Merage School’s increasing reputation and visibility can be attributed to its innovative curriculum, executive programs and research conducted and presented by the school and its highly regarded faculty. The prestige and growth of the school continue to be enhanced by a strong partnership with the business community in Orange County and beyond. Serving as advisers to the Merage School, the corporate community also perceives a substantial asset in this partnership via the value-added activities the school provides. As a result, many business leaders have already made strong financial commitments to help support the Merage School.

Significant legacy and recognition opportunities still exist within the new and current facilities. The Merage School will finally claim a building worthy of the business community in which it resides, showcasing the leaders who put it on the map.
